Eid al-Adha Gifts and Sharing with Family in Afghanistan
The Yar team · · 2 min read

Eid al-Adha, known in Afghanistan as Eid-e-Qurban, is a festival of devotion, family and sharing. Homes fill with relatives, kitchens stay busy for days, and many families share food with neighbours and with people who have less. If you live abroad, you can still be part of that spirit by sending something that helps your family host, share and celebrate.
Helping the household host
Eid-e-Qurban often means many guests and long days of cooking. A family food package with rice, cooking oil, flour, pulses, tea and sugar takes some of that pressure off your parents and lets them welcome everyone generously. You can find ready-made options in our food packages, delivered to the door with a photo of the handover sent to you.
Sweets and dry fruit for visitors
During the days of Eid, relatives and neighbours drop by to offer greetings, and a plate of sweets, nuts and dried fruit is part of every welcome. A box of almonds, pistachios, raisins and local sweets is a simple gift that your family will use from the first morning to the last visit.
About the Qurbani itself
Many families arrange the Qurbani sacrifice and the sharing of meat in their own way, following local custom and the advice of people they trust. Questions about how the sacrifice should be done or shared are religious matters, so please ask a trusted scholar. What we can help with is everything around it: the food, the sweets and the gifts that make the days of Eid warm for your family and the people they share with.

Plan ahead for the holiday
Because Eid falls on a date set by the moon and shops and roads are busy around the holiday, ordering a few days early is the safest choice. Kabul orders placed before 2 PM Kabul time can arrive the same day before 6 PM; other provinces take a few days depending on distance. You can pay by Visa or Mastercard, HesabPay, or WhatsApp and transfer, with prices shown in USD or EUR and the delivery fee listed separately. If we cannot deliver, you receive a full refund within 5 business days.
