How Delivery Works in Kabul: From Order to Doorstep

The Yar team · 19 October 2026 · 2 min read

Kabul is where many Afghans abroad send gifts most often, whether to parents, siblings or friends. If you are ordering for someone in the city, it helps to know exactly what happens after you press pay. Here is a Yar order in Kabul, step by step, from checkout to the doorstep.

Placing the order

You choose your items in the shop, enter the recipient's name, phone number and address, and add a card message if you like. You can choose the surprise option or send as an anonymous sender. Prices are shown in US dollars or euros, and the delivery fee is shown separately before you pay. You can pay by card through Stripe, with HesabPay or by WhatsApp/transfer.

The 2 PM cutoff

Timing in Kabul follows a simple rule. Orders placed before 2 PM Kabul time can arrive the same day before 6 PM. Orders placed after 2 PM arrive the next day. Because Kabul is ahead of Europe and North America, a morning order from London or Toronto may already be close to the cutoff in Kabul, so check the time there before you order.

Preparation and pickup

After payment, your order is prepared. Until preparation starts, you can cancel for free. If your order includes items from a local shop on the Yar marketplace, a Yar courier picks them up from that shop. You can follow the order status at any time on the tracking page using your order code, without logging in.

At the door

The courier calls the recipient before arriving. With the surprise option, the call only checks that the recipient is home.
The courier hands over the order and photographs the handover at the door.
The recipient confirms on the courier's phone.
Within minutes, you receive the photo by WhatsApp and email, and it stays on your order page.

If something does not go to plan

If the recipient cannot be reached after two attempts, Yar calls you first to decide what to do. If Yar cannot deliver, you get a full refund to your original payment method within 5 business days. WhatsApp support is available from 8 AM to 10 PM Kabul time for any questions along the way.
