What Is Yar? Gift Delivery in Afghanistan, Explained

If you live in Germany, Canada, the UK or anywhere else outside Afghanistan, you probably know the feeling of wanting to do something for family back home and not knowing how. Yar was built for exactly that. It is an online shop that delivers gifts, flowers, cakes, dry fruit and family food packages to your loved ones anywhere in Afghanistan, while you order from wherever you are.
Who Yar is
Yar is registered in the European Union and has its operations team in Kabul. That combination matters: you pay in a currency you use every day, and the people preparing and delivering your order know the cities, the streets and the customs of the families they visit.

How an order works
You choose the items, enter the recipient's name, phone number and address, and pay by card, HesabPay or WhatsApp/transfer. Prices are shown in US dollars or euros, and the delivery fee is shown separately before you pay, so there are no surprises at checkout.
Yar delivers to all 34 provinces. In Kabul, orders placed before 2 PM Kabul time can arrive the same day before 6 PM; later orders go out the next day. Other provinces take a few days depending on distance.
What happens at the door
The courier calls the recipient before arriving, hands over the order and takes a photo of the handover. The recipient confirms on the courier's phone, and within minutes you receive the photo by WhatsApp and email. The photo also stays on your order page. If you want the moment to be a surprise, the courier can simply check that the recipient is home without saying what is coming or who sent it. You can also choose to be an anonymous sender on the card.
If something goes wrong
If Yar cannot deliver, you get a full refund to your original payment method within 5 business days. If the recipient cannot be reached after two attempts, Yar calls you first before deciding anything. You can cancel for free until preparation starts, and WhatsApp support is available from 8 AM to 10 PM Kabul time.
