Refunds at Yar: What Happens If a Delivery Fails

When you send a gift to someone in Afghanistan, you are trusting a lot of things you cannot see: the address, the phone number, the roads and the timing. Most deliveries go as planned, but it is fair to ask what happens when one does not. Here is how Yar handles failed deliveries, cancellations and refunds.
If Yar cannot deliver
Sometimes a delivery is simply not possible, for example because of conditions in an area or a problem Yar cannot solve. In that case you receive a full refund to your original payment method within 5 business days. If you paid by card, the money goes back to that card. You do not need to argue or prove anything; if Yar could not deliver, you get your money back.
If the recipient cannot be reached
The courier calls the recipient before arriving. If the recipient does not answer or is not at home, the courier tries again. If the recipient still cannot be reached after two attempts, Yar calls you, the sender, first. Together you can decide the next step, such as checking the phone number, adding another family member's number or choosing a better time.
Cancelling an order
You can cancel for free until preparation starts. Flowers, cakes and food packages are prepared for each order, so once preparation has begun, the shop or kitchen has already used materials and time. If you think you may need to change something, contact support as early as possible.
How to avoid failed deliveries
- Double-check the recipient's phone number, including the country code.
- Write the address the way a local would describe it, with nearby landmarks.
- If you use the surprise option, give the number of someone who will be home.
- Check the order status on the tracking page with your order code.
Getting help
If something does not look right, message Yar support on WhatsApp between 8 AM and 10 PM Kabul time. Have your order code ready so the team can find your order quickly. Remember that the handover photo and confirmation for completed deliveries stay on your order page, which helps if there is ever a question about whether a gift arrived.
